are We in session?

gavel slams down,
impatiently waiting permission to drown.
searching, nurturing,
defending a monk against the world,
your whiskers kiss my fingers,
caress lingers, tingles unfurl,
an unfathomable girl.
i swear for nothing but truth be told
shoulders smouldering a colder gold,
cats eyes hide glinting,
who am I kidding,
this wolf got me turned,
chased through trees,
thought I’d have learned
after all the pages deleted and burned,
gained wisdom from many:
lost what I yearned.
scars earned for nothing,
may as well shoot off in my spaceship,
to never return.

Case adjourned.

i don’t know you

and the wind licks my spine
freezing me into believing
that he’s mine

he mimes through the glass
reflection of my conscious
i’m holding out

thinking that i’m monstrous
he offers his hand
fair and just

crushed typeface and words
glinting sabre tooth
bites
